The 29-year-old Belgian talent is contesting the deciding four events of the ERC season in a Škoda Fabia Rally2 Evo under the Team MRF Tyres banner.
He’d previously finished on the Junior ERC podium and won the Belgian RGT title in 2023 but Rally di Roma Capitale marked a major step in his career alongside co-driver Alex Dubois.
Speaking after finishing Rally di Roma Capitale in 20th position among the ERC-registered drivers, Molle said: “We can say that [it was mission accomplished], that was the main target to go to the end of the rally and get a lot of mileage.
“The final loop was the best we did, I found some confidence but I need to find and correct what I’m doing or doing too much, which is why we lose some time. I have to explore this and maybe change something in my driving. But, okay, we also had to learn the tyre and the car, a lot of things in one weekend and being back in the car after eight months is a lot and competing at this level is also a lot.
“We take it step by step and step by step we go forward and it’s a good challenge. Doing half of the championship is to get ready for next year, that’s the main target so we have to stay focused on the plan and take some mileage.
“Now we are a bit more prepared to go to Barum, we have a test day before and we’e going to see how it’s going so I am looking forward to that.”
Barum Czech Rally Zlín takes place from 16 - 18 August.
