It’s a champion and winner-fest as exciting ERC Rali Ceredigion entry revealed

Based in the Welsh seaside resort of Aberystwyth from 30 August - 1 September, the ERC newcomer has attracted a host of UK and Irish stars to rival the European elite, many of whom will be competing in Wales for the first time.  

Welsh star Osian Pryce, a two-time Rali Ceredigion winner and the driver WRC ace Adrien Fourmaux succeeded as British champion in 2023, is one of the local heroes entered for the all-Tarmac contest along with Keith Cronin and Matt Edwards, who have won the British championship four and three times respectively.  

Other champions set for action include Hayden Paddon, the 2023 ERC title winner and one-time Rali Ceredigion victor, Junior WRC champion William Creighton, 2023 ERC3 champion Jon Armstrong and Chris Ingram, who clinched the 2019 FIA European Rally Championship crown in a dramatic final-stage decider.  

Current ERC title chasers Mathieu Franceschi (France), Miko Marczyk (Poland) and Andrea Mabellini (Italy) are also entered along, while former ERC podium finisher Callum Devine returns to the series. ERC3 championship title fighters Filip Kohn (Czech Republic) and Igor Widłak (Poland) also feature.

JDS Machinery Rali Ceredigion also marks the resumption of the Hankook-equipped FIA Junior ERC Championship season. Swedes Mille Johansson and Calle Carlberg are first and second in the provisional standings after four rounds with Scotland’s Max McRae and Germany’s Timo Schulz hoping to return to winning form in Wales.   

Jack Brennan returns to Junior ERC action for the first time since Rally Islas Canarias in May. He joins Aoife Raftery in the Motorsport Ireland Rally Academy line-up.  

Welsh promise and Stellantis Motorsport Rally Cup IRE & UK frontrunner Ioan Lloyd joins Motorsport Ireland Rally Academy’s Kyle McBride in registering for ERC4 points.
