Back by popular demand: ERC Fiesta Rally3 Trophy returns with Fiesta Rally2 prize drive

The ERC Fiesta Rally3 Trophy will be bigger and even better when it returns to the FIA European Rally Championship platform in 2025.

New from M-Sport Poland for the 2024 season, the ERC Fiesta Rally3 Trophy will once again offer a standout prize package – including a Ford Fiesta Rally2 drive – and five ERC events on asphalt and gravel.

Competitors will receive access to discounted tyres and fuel, plus technical support from M-Sport Poland’s expert engineers, with the eventual ERC Fiesta Rally3 Trophy winner getting the opportunity to step up to Rally2 level through a prize drive on JDS Machinery Rali Ceredigion (5 - 7 September) at the wheel of a Ford Fiesta Rally2 run by M-Sport (pictured below).

One of the top prize drives in international rallying, the fully-funded outing in a top-of-the-range Rally2 car on the all-Tarmac round in Wales includes the support of a dedicated engineer and service crew.

The 2025 ERC Fiesta Rally3 Trophy begins with 42nd Rally Sierra Morena - Córdoba Patrimonio de la Humanidad in Spain (4 - 6 April) and is followed by V-Híd Rally Hungary (9 - 11 May), 81st Rally Poland (13 - 15 June), Rally di Roma Capitale (4 - 6 July and Barum Czech Rally Zlín (15 - 17 August).

For the second year running, tyre company Pirelli will provide a 15 per cent discount on event tyre packages to all participants. The winner of each ERC Fiesta Rally3 Trophy event will secure 12 new tyres for use on the next event, the runner-up will receive six new tyres with two new tyres going to the third-place finisher.

M-Sport Poland is currently working to finalise details of the ERC Fiesta Rally3 Trophy’s fuel partner for the 2025 season.

Iain Campbell, ERC championship manager for WRC Promoter GmbH, said: “We’re delighted that M-Sport Poland is bringing the ERC Fiesta Rally3 Trophy back to the FIA European Rally Championship for 2025 – and with a brilliant prize drive in a Fiesta Rally2. The inaugural edition in 2024 proved as popular as it was competitive with some really promising drivers in action. It also gave the opportunity for several young drivers to compete at international level in four-wheel-drive machinery for a more accessible budget. Filip Kohn, the first champion, was a great example of that and we look forward to watching his continued progression in 2025.”

Maciej Woda, M-Sport Poland Director, said: “It was a natural step to extend our partnership with the FIA European Rally Championship into 2025 as we continue to grow the Fiesta Rally3 Trophy and we thank our partners for their ongoing support. The ERC is a great arena to showcase the performance, reliability and accessibility of the Fiesta Rally3 and it was a pleasure to see the progression of the ERC Fiesta Rally3 Trophy drivers in 2024. There were some real talents taking part, producing some great competition and excitement for the fans. The opportunity is there for those drivers to continue in 2025 but we also hope to welcome the next intake of drivers to join them in the battle for the amazing Ford Fiesta Rally2 prize drive on Rali Ceredigion.”

ERC Fiesta Rally3 Trophy: how it works
To be eligible for the Fiesta Rally3 Trophy, competitors must register with M-Sport Poland and then notify M-Sport Poland which rounds they have entered for in order to qualify for ERC Fiesta Rally3 Trophy points and the various incentives on offer. It is also a requirement to register for the FIA ERC3 Championship with the FIA and pay the appropriate fee. The entry fee for each ERC Fiesta Rally3 Trophy round is €1500 but there is no Fiesta Rally3 Trophy registration fee payable.

There is no maximum age for drivers, who can use their own cars prepared by themselves or by a team. To ensure competitors get access to the best technical assistance available, M-Sport Poland will attend all events with a fully stocked spares vehicle, while its engineers will be available to provide technical support.

All drivers will use the same specification Pirelli tyres and fuel, which will be available on site at every ERC Fiesta Rally3 Trophy event at a discounted price.

Highlights of all ERC Fiesta Rally3 Trophy rounds will be available via the ERC’s social media channels with selected live coverage also on Rally.tv. Event previews and reviews will be published at FIAERC.com.
