As well as the opportunity to compete in front of his home fans in the ERC for the first time since 2022, the 25-year-old has been named an ambassador of Barum Czech Rally Zlín, which forms round six of the 2024 ERC season from 16 - 18 August.
While the asphalt-only event is not a round of the Hankook-equipped FIA Junior ERC Championship – Polášek’s main focus for 2024 – it is part of the ERC4 schedule, for which all Junior ERC drivers are eligible.
Speaking following his run to seventh in Junior ERC on Delfi Rally Estonia earlier this month after he got stuck in ruts on SS5 and stopped to change a damaged tyre on SS9, Polášek said: “It was a tough event but finally we had some good pace so let’s take some important stuff from this. We need to learn from this and let’s see what it brings to us in the future.
