Maior, who turned 26 last Saturday, is contesting the Junior WRC season as his prize for claiming the FIA Junior ERC title in 2023 alongside co-driving sister Francesca Maior.
Fifth in the standings after three rounds and with one podium finish in the bag, Maior starts Sector Rally Finland for the first time on a high.
He said: “This is a rally we have been waiting for a long time and we are very happy to be here. Preparations are going well, we are trying to make the best possible, especially since we will have some very quick stages. It's quite different from anything we've experienced so far, but we already feel we're going to love this type of testing and surface.
“It’s a rally we've been looking forward to ever since we learned that it will be part of the JWRC calendar, because we've dreamed of attending it since we were little.”
Junior WRC drivers use Pirelli-equipped Ford Fiesta Rally3s run by M-Sport Poland. Secto Rally Finland takes place from 1 - 4 August.
